3AND5 is a colorful and CHALLENGING strategy game which requires the user to form number patterns on the game board. Game pieces, numbered 1 through 5, will be removed from the board, and you will score points, when a successful scoring pattern is formed. As the name implies the scoring patterns are based on 3’s and 5’s. No counting or math is required!

Sounds easy, right? Well, be sure to watch out for Penalty Mode, where random pieces will be placed at random locations on the board!

‘3 Scoring Patterns’ are worth 6 pts times the “Score x” multiplier
‘5 Scoring Patterns’ are worth 15 pts times the “Score x” multiplier

The “Score x” multiplier is located toward the bottom of the screen. This multiplier starts at 10 and will be reduced by 1 after each numbered game piece that is played. If the “Score x” reaches 1, you will enter Penalty Mode.

During Penalty Mode, a randomly selected numbered playing piece will be placed on the screen after each move. This randomly placed piece will almost certainly ruin your attempts to form Scoring Patterns, so you DONT want to be in Penalty Mode for long! After you make a successful Scoring Pattern match, the “Score x” will reset to 10 and Penalty Mode will end.

There are several special playing pieces that can both hinder or help your progress. These special pieces are rare:

Bombs: This piece will allow you to remove a 3x3 grid of pieces from the game board. The 3x3 grid is centered around the game board location that you tap.

Jumble3x3: This piece will randomly jumble or scramble all of the pieces within a 3x3 grid. The 3x3 grid is centered around the game board location that you tap. These pieces can not be played on any of perimeter/edge game board locations. The Jumble3x3 piece will almost always result in ruining patterns that you are attempting to form, however, on occasion it may also results in a surprise successful scoring pattern!

Eraser: This piece will allow you to remove one playing piece from the game board.

As you score increases, the background color of the app will change color to reward your progress!   The scoring levels that will result in a new, colorful background color are:

Level                 Points

1                      Start

2                      1,000

3                      2,000

3AND5 is not a time-based game so you don’t have to worry about hitting a ‘pause button’ when you get distracted in the middle of a game. Just set the game aside and pick it up later when you’re ready to continue.

3AND5 will keep track of your high score so that you can challenge yourself as well as your friends!

HOW HIGH CAN YOU SCORE?
